Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been chosen to promote Indian cinema on the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) multi-city promotional tour. IIFA will be held in the United States in cities like New York, Houston, Tampa and Orlando from March 11-14.
Vidya Balan said: “Having travelled to a number of exotic locales the world over, IIFA has made its mark on the map, educating the world about Indian Cinema. Going forward, I am very pleased to be a part of IIFA’s landmark journey, as they venture into the United States, in Tampa Bay. I am excited to be a part of the IIFA Master Class this year and look forward to engaging with my fans in the US.”
Vidya Balan has represented Indian cinema on a global platform last year at the Cannes film festival. Vidya Balana had also participated in the prestigious India Day Parade in New York as the grand marshal.
With films like 'Parineeta', 'The Dirty Picture' and 'Kahaani', Vidya Balan has earned a high stature among the Indian film fraternity.
