The police recieved a call last afternoon that said a child had fallen from a room of the building.

A two-year-old Chinese boy died after he was thrown from the sixth floor of a building by a man following an argument with the child’s mother, the third such incident in recent months.

The incident took place yesterday in China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The police recieved a call last afternoon that said a child had fallen from a room of the building. The boy was taken to a hospital where he later died. The man was later identified as Lu,who confessed that he threw the child off the building because of a “romantic dispute” with the boy’s mother,state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Lu was detained by the police, who said the child had no biological connection with the suspect. This is the third incident in recent months of men venting their anger on children and hurling them down.

In an identical case,a man hurled down a baby after a dispute with the child’s mother over a parking slot. He is currently undergoing trial for the crime in a Beijing court. In a seperate incident,a drunk policeman in Linzhou city picked up a baby from a pram and threw it down. He was arrested later and a number of top security officials were suspended for not taking timely action against him.
