California Governor Gavin Newsom said on Sunday he will take the Trump administration to court over the deployment of 300 California National Guard personnel to Oregon.
“After a federal court blocked his attempt to federalize the Oregon National Guard, Donald Trump is deploying 300 California National Guard personnel into Oregon,” Newsom said in a post on X.
“They are on their way there now.” Newsom’s post followed by a federal judge late on Saturday that temporarily blocked President Donald Trump from deploying 200 Oregon National Guard troops to the city of Portland.
