Earthquake measuring 5.1 jolts Nepal

The quake rocked areas 15 km southeast of Kodari in Sindhupalchok district of Nepal, reported Xinhua news agency

Nepal was rocked by a moderate 5.1 magnitude tremor today afternoon though no damage was reported.

The aftershock was recorded at 2.47 pm with epicentre located at Dolakha district, 150 kms northeast of Kathmandu, according to the National Seismological Centre.

However, no damage was reported from the tremor so far.

A total of 382 aftershocks of 4 or more magnitude were recorded since the deadly earthquake hit the country on April 25 killing nearly 9,000 people.
