On the occasion of the second anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, the Centre had released a song called ‘Mera desh badal raha hai’, highlighting the work done by the BJP government over the past two years. As catchy as the tune for the song was, it also opened itself to the creativity of those in the online space. And the one to pick up the gauntlet was Arré, ‘new-age infotainment’ channel.
In a hilarious a video posted by the outfit, PM Modi is shown at all important international and national events ‘since the beginning of time’. The video is a series of iconic photographs played one after another, set to the tune of ‘Mera desh badal raha hai’. The clincher? Different images of PM Modi have been superimposed on each of those photos to look like he was right there, supervising and celebrating with world leaders over the centuries — be it the discovery of America in 1492, ‘with Shri Alexander Graham Bellji, 1876’, or even marching energetically with Mahatma Gandhi during the 1930 Dandi March.
