Woman slaps TTE after getting caught travelling without ticket in 2AC trainThe footage suggests the argument continued through the night

A video of a heated confrontation between a woman passenger and a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE), aboard a train, has triggered massive outrage online.

According to the clip, the woman, accused of travelling without a valid ticket, can be seen clashing with the TTE. Despite repeated requests to show her ticket, she can be seen telling him, “Andhe ho kya?” (Are you blind?), and accusing him of misbehaving with her.

Several co-passengers stepped in to support the railway staff, urging her to calm down and cooperate. One man can be heard saying, “Mahila ke adhikaar ka durupyog mat kijiye ki kisiko aap kuch bhi keh doge” (Don’t misuse women’s rights to say anything to anyone).

The footage suggests the argument continued through the night. At one point, an elderly passenger is heard calling someone to report the situation. By morning, the police had boarded the train and escorted the woman, the TTE and a few passengers off the train. In another dramatic moment, the woman appears to strike the railway staff, prompting him to say on camera, “Yeh dekhiye, inhone humaare upar hamla kiya hai (She has attacked me).”

The TTE can also be heard saying, “Bina ticket chal rahi ho and railway karmchaari se misbehave kar rahi ho. Paper taiyyar hai. Jaayengi yeh jail” (You are travelling without a ticket and are misbehaving with railway staff. You will go to jail).

The video, posted on X by user Mayank Burmee, was captioned: “Firstly, she is travelling without a ticket. Secondly, with this attitude. As she knows nothing is going to happen. Women’s empowerment ke naam par misuse of law! Any action will be taken? @RailwaySeva.”

In response, Railway Seva replied, “We regret inconvenience! This is not the type of experience that Railways strive to deliver. Please share details (PNR/UTS No.) and mobile no. preferably via DM.”

Since being shared, the clip has sparked intense criticism from netizens, with many demanding strict action over the incident. A user wrote, “What kind of entitlement is this? Railway must start blacklisting such repeat offenders and they shall be forced to travel in Unreserved only.”

Another user wrote, “it’s high time that coach interconnectivity should be closed and railways should issue self check in boarding pass for ac paxx that is check by the TTE before tje paxx enters the coach.”

A third person commented, “Not just in the trains but the law & order of the entire country is in dire state now due to various kinds of appeasement policies of our netas who for votebank can do anything. This woman is comfortably mis-using those laws under the very nose of administration.”
