A woman recently accused a Blinkit delivery executive of inappropriately touching her during a delivery. The incident came to light after the woman shared a video on X, claiming the Blinkit agent touched her chest while handing over a parcel.
In her post, she wrote, “This is what happened with me today while ordering from Blinkit. The delivery guy asked for my address again and then touched me inappropriately. This is NOT acceptable. @letsblinkit please take strict action. #Harassment #Safety @letsblinkit …is women safety a joke in India?”
The video shows the delivery agent, dressed in Blinkit‘s yellow jacket, completing the parcel handover and taking payment. While returning the change, his hand appears to make contact with the woman’s chest. She is then seen quickly shifting the parcel in front of her as a shield.
Sharing details of the incident, the woman further updated that she had to hold the parcel in front of her to avoid further unwanted contact. She also expressed disappointment over Blinkit’s initial response, claiming that the platform only issued a verbal warning and enrolled the driver in sensitivity training after her verbal complaint.
According to her, it was only after she submitted video evidence of the encounter that Blinkit took firmer action. The company reportedly terminated the delivery executive’s contract and banned him from the platform.
Responding to her complaint, Blinkit said in a message, “Hi, we appreciate your time over the phone. We’re truly sorry for the incident and understand how upsetting this must be. Please be assured that the necessary actions have been taken as discussed. Feel free to DM us for any further questions or support.”
The Mumbai Police also took note of the viral video, stating, “We have followed you. Please share your contact details in DM.”

The incident has sparked debate around women’s safety and the accountability of gig economy platforms in India. “Yes, it can be clearly seen he deliberately brought his hand close to your upper body and touched you inappropriately. You flinching can be seen,” a user wrote.
“My mind and soul is shaken seeing this , he has traumatized her for life, audacity of that man, please get him punished, there should be some kind of harsh punishment (like in UAE) that men fear even thinking of doing something like this,” another user commented.
“You are very brave girl, I hope your parents support you and file police complaint under POCSO as you are minor, take legal measures asap as this man knows your address and ensure your safety,” a third user reacted.
