The crew of Vistara Airlines made a video of them bidding goodbye to the passengers aboard the airline’s last flight prior to its merger with Tata-owned Air India. When X user Aman Gulati posted the video on X, it struck a chord with Vistara’s loyal customer base and aviation enthusiasts, and went viral.
First officer Nehal and captain Sudhanshu Raikwar are seen in the video speaking to the passengers and expressing their feelings as they signalled the end of an era in the aviation sector. Raikwar began his saying, “Last Vistara service as a brand… We are looking forward to the opportunity of providing you with the best safety and service.”
Nehal acknowledged the bittersweet nature of the occasion, saying, “Mix of emotions as today’s flight marks the final flight of Vistara. For many of us, whether crew or passengers, this moment holds a special significance. Vistara has connected countless travellers spanning continents and cultures, and created memories that we will carry forward.”

As the announcement wrapped up, the cabin erupted in applause, with some passengers capturing the moment on their phones. One could be heard shouting, “Yay, superb!”
The video quickly gained traction online, amassing thousands of views and sparking numerous comments. One X user said, “Vistara was really the first choice for domestic travel for many of us, their services and cleanliness and professionalism was really top notch.” Another commented, “Vistara created a niche in air space.”
Nehal also made a farewell post to Vistara on X. He wrote, “As the sun sets on one of the most loved brands in the country, I wear this Uniform one last time, with a mix of pride and emotions in my heart. In the words of our CEO, “We made a DAMN GOOD AIRLINE”!!! Goodbye Vistara! You shall be missed dearly.”
