‘Blessed by the divine’: Shreya Ghoshal sings ‘Piyu Bole’ to pregnant woman’s baby bump, heartwarming video goes viral

Shreya Ghoshal, one of the most celebrated Indian singers, is winning hearts with her humble gesture towards a pregnant fan. During her “All Hearts Tour” in Amsterdam, Ghoshal was captured interacting with one of her fans backstage, and the video has gone viral.

After her performance, Ghoshal was approached by a pregnant fan who expressed her deep love for her music. What followed was a moving gesture. The singer knelt, gently placed her hand on the woman’s baby bump, and sang Piyu Bole from Parineeta as a lullaby for the unborn baby. Crooned by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam, the song features Vidya Balan and Saif Ali Khan.

As the video progresses, the emotional fan can be seen thanking Ghoshal for singing to her baby bump. Sharing the video, Instagram handle @varindertchawla wrote “#ShreyaGhoshal’s soulful voice and heartfelt gesture—singing for a pregnant fan with her hand on the baby bump—has melted hearts all over the internet.”

The video wooed several social media users who hailed Ghoshal for her heartfelt gesture and “magical” voice. “Shreya Ghosal so sweet gesture I’m sure the baby must be dancing inside happily,” a fan wrote. “Omg..what an experience for that unborn child,” another fan commented.

“Really beautiful. Very soothing song and Shreya madam you are awesome,” a third fan said. “the baby was blessed by the divine voice,” a fourth fan wrote.

Ghoshal, who made her Bollywood singing debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas in 2002, has lent her voice to songs in several Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, and others. She began her “All Hearts Tour” in 2023 and continues to captivate her fans worldwide.

She has also performed at several prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall (London) and the SSE Arena.
