A video doing the rounds on Twitter shows the India opener grooving on the stage with his wife Ritika Sajdeh. He performed a dance at his brother-in-law Kunal Sajdeh’s wedding function that reportedly took place on Thursday night. A Twitter user, Mufaddal Vohra, posted a portion of the dance performance and wrote, “Rohit Sharma’s dance at his brother-in-law’s marriage.”

“Hitman showing his best moves,” commented a user. “His footwork here too was assured and graceful. Leg side was dominant though. Hands were close to the body, which is also good. Notice his head, it’s still. Masterclass in sangeeth dancing,” joked another.

Rohit and Ritika Sajdeh got married on December 13, 2015 and they have a daughter.

The three-match ODI series between India and Australia starts Friday in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Hardik Pandya will lead India in an ODI for the first time in Rohit’s absence. The Australian team will be led by Steve Smith with regular ODI skipper Pat Cummins opting to remain home in Sydney with family following the passing of his mother, Maria, after her battle with breast cancer.

This is the first ODI series between India vs Australia since 2020, when Australia won a three-game series 2-1. Rohit will be back to lead for the final two matches.
