Quite often booking a cab through ride-hailing apps can be vexing. Sometimes, the drivers cancel the ride after taking the booking leaving passengers frustrated.
A man, however, shared a pleasant encounter he had with a cab driver in Delhi. Shyamlal Yadav took to Twitter to share a photo of the Uber driver named Abdul Qadeer who has stocked his cab with a first-aid kit, refreshments and even a donation box for poor children. Yadav wrote that the 48-year-old driver also informed him that he has hardly cancelled any ride in seven years.
From bottles of mineral water and cold drinks to essential medicines, biscuits, perfume, newspapers, masks, shoe polish and umbrella, the cab has it all.
In the cab, Qadeer has also put up a notice that reads, “We respect people of every religion. We can identify any religion on the basis of clothes. Humble appeal: We should be polite to each other. We need to be inspired by what works well for society.” And not only that, Qadeer in another notice says that all the facilities in the cab are absolutely free and it even has Wi-Fi access.
“Using Uber today @ an interesting driver Abdul Qadeer, 48. He has first aid kit, many other essentials for riders for free as well as donation box for poor children, says hardly canceled any ride in 7 years. Impressed with him,” Yadav wrote in the tweet.
“Luckily, I had also got a chance to sit in his cab in Delhi. It was a very moving experience,” commented a user. “This happens when you love your profession,” said another. “Definitely someone who loves and cares for his job,” appreciated a third.
