While speaking to the city’s Ramayana Hotel, a staff told indianexpress.com that the hotel is completely sold out from January 20-25, and it’s partially booked from then for months. Wherelese, Park Inn Hotel, saw a gush of bookings since mid December, and there’s no availability till January 23. The demand is so high that upon the conclusion of the ceremony, the prices remain up to Rs 30,000 per night.
With the Ram Mandir only 6 kilometers away, Shonco, a staff member at Cygnett Collection Hotels, says the property’s rates went up from Rs 7,000 to Rs 25,000 per night after to the commencement of the Ram Mandir.
Many homestays have also come up in the city to cater to the demand. C Mishra, who works at Raghunandan Guest House, said they are providing rooms at a reasonable price, starting from Rs 4,000. He added that no non-vegetarian meals will be served.
