Standup comic on Deepika Padukone’s depression

Bunty Banerjee, a standup comic, delivered a performance that referred to Deepika Padukone becoming a mother and battling with depression on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. “Deepika Padukone also became a mother recently, right? Great. Now she knows what depression really looks like. Actual depression happens when your sleep breaks, and your kid wakes in the middle of the night at 3 am and the kid wants to eat poop or play at any order,” she said in a viral video.

Indian chess star touches Magnus Carlsen’s feet

India’s Bristy Mukherjee won the All India Women Rapid event (Event B) with a 7/7 score at the Tata Steel Chess India Festival 2024, held in Kolkata, West Bengal. A video of Mukherjee touching Magnus Carlsen’s feet before accepting the trophy won plaudits on social media.


Insects in Vande Bharat food

Congress MP Manickam Tagore shared online a video of a passenger who found insects in the food served to him on a Vande Bharat train from Tirunelveli to Chennai. “Dear Ashwini Vaishnaw ji, live insects were found in the food served on the Tirunelveli-Chennai Vande Bharat Express Passengers have raised concerns over hygiene and IRCTC’s accountability. What steps are being taken to address this and ensure food safety on premium trains?” he wrote on X.

Kerala man blocks ambulance

A video of a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz deliberately blocking an ambulance for more than two minutes on a two-lane road sparked outrage on social media. Kerala Motor Vehicles Department revoked the licence of the driver of the car and imposed a fine of Rs 6,250, India Today reported.
