In an unconventional move, Uttarakhand Police drove an SUV inside the emergency ward of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh to arrest a nursing officer. The video of this incident from Tuesday has now gone viral. According to PTI, the man was accused of molesting a woman doctor.
In the viral video, the police vehicle can be seen driving through the emergency ward, causing chaos among patients and guards on duty. Guards can be seen pushing stretchers with patients out of the SUV’s way. The video was shared by a user Divya Gandotra Tandon on X.

The video amassed over 3,23,000 views. Reacting to the video, one user said, “Height of insensitivity. Police vehicle went through various sections of the AIIMS (Rishikesh) disrupting treatment of the patients. Police finally arrested the accused but their approach is nowhere acceptable.” Another user commented, “Why no siren only whistles?”
In another video, medical students can be seen protesting and demanding the termination of the nursing officer who allegedly harassed a junior resident doctor. Sharing the video, an X handle KiranPrakash Social Welfare Foundation wrote, “A nursing officer at AlIMS Rishikesh has been suspended and detained for allegedly molesting a junior resident doctor. Medical students are protesting and demanding his termination. We stand with the victims and call for immediate action.”

According to PTI, the nursing officer allegedly sexually molested a woman doctor inside an operation theatre at AIIMS Rishikesh. Satish Kumar, the accused, had also allegedly sent an obscene SMS to the doctor and has now been arrested. Seeing the large number of protesting doctors, the police decided to drive into the emergency ward to arrest the accused.
