Javelin star Navdeep Singh clinched the gold medal, India’s seventh gold at the Paris Paralympics, in the men’s javelin throw (F41) on Saturday night. Singh made waves after a video of him capturing his raw emotions during the win took over social media. Now, another video of the athlete opening up about his conversation with his coach has emerged on the Internet.
In the viral clip, Singh revealed that he asked his coach to swear on his mother when he was told he hit the distance in his first attempt. After calming his aggression during the event, Singh went to his coach who revealed that he hit 46.32 metres. However, he could not believe his phenomenal performance and further asked his coach to swear on his mother.
Sharing the video, an X user wrote, “Navdeep Singh – a typical Delhi Boy. He told ‘Khao Maa Kasam’ to his coach when his coach said you hit 46M.”

Navdeep Singh was set to secure a silver medal behind Iran’s Sadegh Beit Sayah. However, Sayah was disqualified by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) over “unsporting or improper conduct.” As seen during the broadcast event, Sayah had pulled out a black flag from his bag after the win.
