An X user named Sunny shared a video capturing this moment at the Nesco compound in Goregaon, known for hosting one of the largest garba events each year. He wrote, “Nesco compound in Goregaon organise biggest of the Garba play every year but yesterday they stopped in between to pay tribute to the legend Ratan Tata Sir.”
In the video, attendees observed a moment of silence for Tata, with some seen praying as the song Vida Karo played in the background.
Another clip also gained traction, capturing a similar scene where revellers halted their festivities, illuminating the night with the lights from their smartphones to pay their respects to Ratan Tata. “We sincerely hope his soul finds peace, especially on such a sacred day. On Wednesday night, Ratan Tata, 86, passed away at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. His body was brought from his Colaba home to the NCPA in South Mumbai on Thursday morning in a hearse decorated with white flowers so that the public may offer their last respects.
