The wedding season is here, and while invitations are pouring in, one old wedding card has resurfaced online and is winning hearts for all the right reasons. The invitation, dated December 6, 2019, has a hilariously honest tone, starting with “Sharma ji ka ladka” and “Verma ji ki ladki” as the main stars of the event.
The humour doesn’t stop there. Alongside the wedding date, the card cheekily notes, “A very auspicious day, so there’ll be 22,000 other weddings and you’ll be stuck in traffic for hours.” Practical and witty, the couple even made a special request for cash-only gifts, humorously pointing out, “Hum is juicer mixer grinder ka kya karenge (What will we do with juicers, mixers and grinders).”
The reception details are equally delightful, promising to start at 7 pm, with a disclaimer: “Hum khud 8:30 ayenge (We will arrive at 8.30).” To top it off, the card includes a venue map but hilariously advises guests to avoid relying on it and just ask someone for directions instead.
