In a shocking incident, a groom was stabbed on stage during his wedding in Maharashtra’s Amravati, allegedly by a friend. The attack, which caused panic at the venue, was captured on video by a drone operated by the wedding videographer.
The dramatic footage, now viral online, shows the drone tailing a man in an orange hoodie as he sprints away from the venue. Moments later, the attacker is seen reaching a motorcycle where an accomplice waits. As they attempt to flee, a relative of the groom runs after them, trying to stop their escape. The drone follows the bike for nearly two kilometres, recording the entire chase.
According to PTI, the incident took place on Tuesday at Sahil Lawn on Badnera Road, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ganesh Shinde said. “Groom Sujal Samudre was attacked with a knife by his friend Raghav Bakshi over a past dispute. Bakshi stabbed Samudre on his thigh and back before escaping on a bike,” he informed.
The report added that Bakshi had attacked Samudre two days ago. The altercation escalated when the victim’s relatives allegedly vandalised the Bakshis’ two-wheeler and a TV set. A case has been registered against the attacker; however, a cross-complaint has also been reported against Samudre’s relatives.

“I request the Maharashtra government and Maharashtra Police to punish this accused with the strictest possible punishment,” a third user reacted. “I think no one would stab someone over such a small matter; there must be something else going on here—there’s definitely something fishy about this,” a third user reacted.
