Only 90s kids can truly understand the joy of playing gully cricket with a tennis ball. Back then, if a group of kids were seen playing with one, chances were everyone had chipped in a few rupees to buy that single ball. Now, a recent post on X has sparked a wave of nostalgia and conversations about inflation.
Aaraynsh, a writer, took to his X account and shared a picture of himself holding a tennis ball. But it was the caption that struck a chord: “Bought this for ₹120. Inflation is real, guys!”
The post quickly went viral, garnering over 7,00,000 views, with users flooding the comments section to share their thoughts.
Popular media page RVCJ chimed in saying, “Humlog Bachpan Mein 1-2 Rupeeya Ektha Karke 25 Rs Ka Bol Lete (As kids, we used to pool together Rs 1-2 each and proudly say we had Rs 25),”
