People who live in Bengaluru often complain about the traffic and how it takes hours to even travel a short distance. Commuters have also shared how during peak hours there is an unreasonable waiting time for cabs and autos.

A man shared on Twitter how he booked an autorickshaw on Rapido app for a 45-minute journey from Koramangala to JP Nagar but the whopping waiting time would leave you surprised. The app showed that the autorickshaw that accepted the ride was 225 minutes (3.7 hours) away. “Rapido wait time getting out of hand. Gotta wait for more than 3.7 hours for 45 minutes travel,” he wrote.


Rapido Cares replied to the man’s tweet and said they were no riders available during that time and they are trying to increase their fleet of vehicles.

“Hi Deyalla, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience you faced. We regret there were no captains available during your time of need. Nevertheless, we are increasing the fleet every day from our end. Thank you for your patience in this matter,” it wrote.

In May, a man complained about the long waiting time when he booked an auto using Uber. Anushank Jain shared on Twitter a screenshot of his Uber app after he booked the autorickshaw. He showed how the vehicle that accepted his ride request was 24 kilometres away and the waiting time was a staggering 71 minutes. Jain shared the screenshot and wrote on Twitter, “Huge respect for him if he actually shows up. #peakbengaluru.”
