In a harrowing incident, a man and a woman narrowly escaped a devastating fire after an LPG gas leak triggered a powerful explosion inside a house. The dramatic CCTV footage, which has gone viral on the Internet, captures the moments leading up to the blast.
The incident is believed to have occurred on June 18 around 3 pm, although the exact location is unknown. The viral video begins with an LPG cylinder lying on the kitchen floor, leaking gas through a damaged pipe. A woman is seen first, attempting her best to stop the leak. Unable to stop it and realising the danger, she quickly exits the scene to get help.
She soon returns with a man, and together they re-enter the house through separate doors and attempt to close the gas valve. However, the air inside the room had already become saturated with gas and created a highly inflammable atmosphere.
As the video progresses, they work near the cylinder, and a sudden spark, believed to have come from the stove, ignites the gas, leading to an explosion. In the blink of an eye, flames engulf the entire room, filling it with smoke and fire.
Miraculously, both individuals survived the explosion. It is believed that the doors and windows, left open by the woman earlier, helped ventilate the room and prevented a more catastrophic accident.
Sharing the video, an X user Satyamraj_in wrote, “They were lucky that all the doors and windows were open, which allowed much of the gas to escape outside and significantly reduced the impact of the explosion.”

With over six lakh views, the video garnered significant attention, prompting reactions from several users, who shared their assumptions. “Possible Reason May Be This : The light in the kitchen was on, but seemed to dim mid way of the video(0.55-0.57). I feel the bulb in the kitchen may have ignited fire and resulting in the blast,” a user wrote. “Either a second stove was on as it is a mess and more than one stove is highly likely or the burner was hot enough to trigger the fire,” another user commented.
“They both just escaped death. What a lucky day,” a third user reacted.
