Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Varanasi seat for the third consecutive term by defeating Congress candidate Ajay Rai. With the BJP-led NDA winning 294 seats in the Lok Sabha Election 2024, Modi became the first Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru to win three straight terms. As congratulatory wishes are pouring in, popular sand artist Sudarasan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture of PM Modi.
The viral video shows PM Modi, adorned with a red scarf and pink flowers, folding his hands in a namaste gesture. With the sculpture, Pattnaik also wrote ‘Congratulations Modi Ji’ in green and red colours. The video also shows him doing the final work around the text.

With over 38,000 views, the video is winning plaudits on social media. Applauding Pattnaik, a user wrote, “Your art is very wonderful and many congratulations Modi ji.” Another user commented, “Beautiful.”

On Tuesday, the Election Commission of India declared results for 542 of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, with the BJP winning 240 seats and the Congress 99. After the BJP-led NDA crossed the majority mark with 294 seats, PM Modi delivered a speech at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
“I am indebted to the people of the country for their blessings. The NDA government for the third time is certain. The people of the country have reposed their faith in the BJP and NDA. This is a victory of the biggest democracy of the world,” he said while addressing the party workers.
“I also thank the Election Commission of India for conducting such a large-scale election exercise. Every Indian is proud of the credibility of India’s election process and system,” he added.
