Soft and syrup-soaked, gulab jamun is one of the most loved sweets among foodies in India. The Indian dessert has been a staple at weddings and parties and is often enjoyed with a scoop of ice cream. However, an adventurous attempt at combining the rich sweetness of gulab jamun and cheesy pizza has left the internet in disgust.
A video is doing rounds on the internet that shows an eatery preparing a bizarre dish, cheesy gulab jamun pizza. The video begins with the chef meticulously preparing the pizza dough, followed by the drizzling of sweet syrup onto the base. The chef then crushes a gulab jamun and generously sprinkles it over the syrup-coated dough.
Adding a generous amount of cheese, he then bakes it to perfection and further tops it with six whole gulab jamuns, making an unconventional dish. The video was shared by a food handle, Foodler, on Instagram and the caption read, “Cheesy Gulab Jamun Pizza First Time In India. Decent Taste Especially For The People Crazy For Sweets.”

The video has left food enthusiasts disgusted rather than intrigued. Reacting to it a user commented, “Please add a little rat poison for flavour.” Another user wrote, “Capital punishment for the person making this.”
“Brother, death is better than this,” the third user said. “This is where we should draw a line between two dishes,” another foodie reacted.
Last month, a similar bizarre food video went viral that showed a vendor preparing ice cream dosa. The clip shared on Instagram opened with the vendor pouring the dosa batter on a hot tawa and then sprinkling tutti frutti and a small ice cream tub onto it.
