Several parts of Kashmir, including the Gulmarg skiing resort, got covered with a fresh snow spell on February 19. Around three feet of snow piled up at Badugam Tulail, and Gurez in the Bandipora district of north Kashmir.
The X handle of All India Radio News shared a breathtaking video of the Gulmarg skiing resort in Baramulla district, which is all set to host the fourth Khelo Indian Winter Games from February 21.

Kashmiri locals and tourists, who are currently witnessing the snowfall, flooded the platform with striking videos. A user gave a sneak peek into the wonderland and shared a video of the ropeway in Neelum Valley. The user wrote, “Snowfall in #ArangKel, Neelum Valley! The picturesque village is now a winter wonderland, with every house and guesthouse blanketed in a pristine layer of snow.”

On Sunday, the India Meteorological Department issued a three-day snowfall alert for Jammu and Kashmir. The IMD also predicted snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad until February 22.
Earlier this month, a video of twin sisters reporting the snowfall in Kashmir won hearts on social media. This year, Kashmir Valley faced days of dry spells amidst the harsh winter resulting in reduced snowfall at tourist spots, including Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
