However, a group of youngsters got to play gully cricket with David Warner when he dropped by unannounced. His fans cannot stop gushing over it as he plays gully cricket with children and youngsters on a Mumbai street.
The Australian cricketer shared the clip on Instagram with the caption, “Found a quiet street to have a hit.” Clad in t-shirt, shorts and sneakers he bats as a youngster bowls along with kids. With cars parked on the side and only a few people around, the street seems not very busy.
Since being shared on Wednesday, the clip has garnered more than 3 million views on the Meta-owned platform. Netizens were quite amused by his spirit and some users even asked him apply for Indian citizenship. A user commented, “Did u apply for Indian citizenship? 😂 Bcz your love about India is incredible 😍 love u sir.” Another user wrote, “Reason why …most loved AUSSIES player in 🇮🇳.” A third user wrote, “David Warner be like – gully cricket is more difficult then international cricket.”
The cricket player often shares reels connected to India and captures the hearts of desi users. Recently, he visited the Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi with his family and asked users to guess the monument. Before that, he shared a video from Pathaan where he was superimposed as actor Shah Rukh Khan, raking up millions of views.
