A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida claimed that she found a frozen centipede inside an ice cream tub she ordered from Blinkit. The video shows the arthropod clung to the cover of the ice cream tub.

The viral video begins with the woman saying she ordered ice cream from Blinkit to make a mango shake. “Oh my God! Yeh maine bachon ke liye mango shake banane ke liye Blinkit se thodi der pehle yeh Amul ka ice cream mangwaya hai. Yehi abhi mangaya hai maine, yeh box full hai. Isme yeh kankhajura mila hai mujhe. Yeh pura jama pada hua hai ice cream pe (I just ordered an ice cream tub from Blinkit to make a mango shake for my kids. This is Amul’s ice cream. The box is full, and I found a frozen centipede in here),” she says in the video.

The viral video amassed over 92,000 views, and several reactions from social media users. One user said, “Warehouses do not maintain hygiene. Rats roam around in their warehouses and goods are scattered on the floor. Biscuit packets are lying open and are also bitten by rats. These warehouses should be audited, that too once in three months. Foods should be ordered from those whose audit report is good.” Another user commented, “Amul should respond. How come a centipede can be found in a packed box.”

“There is huge demand for icecream these days and the companies are outsourcing from small vendors which in turn are screwing up,” a third user said.

In a video shared by X handle of Tricity Today, the woman shared that on noticing the centipede, she contacted Blinkit immediately, and that the money she spent was refunded. She also said the 10-minute grocery delivery platform assured her that an Amul representative would reach out to her regarding the incident, but that did not happen.
