In a bizarre event, a stray bull in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, has become a viral sensation after CCTV footage captured it taking a scooter for a spin.
What started as just another street scene took a wild turn when the bull, walking past a parked white scooter, suddenly doubled back and climbed onto it. With its front legs over the seat and hind legs still on the ground, the bull looked like it was gearing up for a ride.
A nearby woman, who was walking with a young child in school uniform, immediately picked the kid up and ran for safety. But by the time she looked back, the bull had already started its short, clumsy joyride–pushing the scooter forward a few feet before losing interest and strolling away.
X account ‘bhUpi Panwar’ posted the video along with a caption written in Hindi which translates to, “You must have seen people stealing scooties many times but the case of scooty theft in Rishikesh is different. Here even the stray bulls roaming in the streets are fond of bikes and scooties.”
The hilarious clip has since gone viral, racking up over six lakh views and sparking a flood of witty reactions. Social media users couldn’t resist the comedy gold. A user said, “How to explain this to insurance, without cctv.” Another user wrote, “India is a place with all sorts of possibility. Anything that you can imagine in your wildest dreams.”
A third person commented, “Saand is just having a test ride …no chori.” A fourth individual wrote, “Saand ne bola ” bhai aaj mein bhi sawari kar hi leta hoon” (The bull said, “Bro, today I’ll go for a ride too.”).”
