The dosa, a traditional south Indian delicacy, is typically known for its golden-brown colour and served with an array of chutneys and sambar. However, this particular rendition challenges the norms with its striking blue appearance, reminiscent of the deep sea.
Social media platforms have become a battleground for food critics, bloggers, and everyday netizens expressing their opinions on the blue ocean dosa.
While some applaud the creativity and daring approach of the chefs, others are sceptical about tampering with a classic recipe. The debate has escalated, creating a viral sensation around the mysterious blue dosa.
Amid the controversy, the Raipur food stall has seen a surge in customers eager to try the dosa for themselves.
Users on X, formerly Twitter, expressed their concern and amusement. A netizen wrote, “On top of that mayonnaise ka tadka, why?” Another said, “it looks so yucky… I thought people ate dosas because they crave for it… then why do they need this blue colour incentive”.
The stall’s owners remain tight-lipped about the secret behind the blue colour, adding an element of mystery to the entire affair.
A third said, “Horrifying. Blue and filled with junk. Overall a poison crepe.”
