A woman in Bengaluru was fined by the city police after a video of her working on her laptop while driving surfaced on social media, sparking widespread outrage.

The viral footage, filmed by an onlooker in another vehicle, shows the woman engrossed in her laptop while navigating the busy streets. Sharing the video, the official X handle of DCP Traffic North, Bengaluru wrote: “Work from home, not from car while driving.” Alongside the video, police also shared an image of officers issuing a challan against her.

The post amassed over 93,000 views, with many social media users demanding strict rules to prevent reckless driving. “Today the worst drivers are cab drivers, mobile driving is getting pathetic. Speed restrictions must be implemented for CABs, AUTO & on all public transportation,” a user wrote. “Thanks for dealing with this stupid woman endangering lives out there,” another user commented.

“She should be working for Infosys or L&T they expect their employees to work 70 to 90 hours per week,” a third user wrote. “Her company name should be revealed so that other job aspirants should avoid applying there,” another user said.
