Bengaluru: Bike accident survivor pens gratitude note to thank those who helped him, netizens react

He expressed his gratitude for an elderly man in his 50s who was with him the entire time and kept on repeating and reassuring that everything is alright and gave him a sense of positivity.

A survivor of a bike accident in Bengaluru penned a wholesome gratitude note for the people who helped him get back up on his feet after the mishap and the post is winning hearts online.

In his post on Reddit, user @adithya shared how people rushed to help him one by one. He also shared that he met with a bike accident near\ on Thursday when his two-wheeler skid due to the gravel in the road. He subsequently lost control and was thrown on the road along with his pillion rider. He lost a lot of skin in his right hand too, he shared.

Meanwhile, people nearby rushed to help the man. Later, in his post he wrote, “Writing this post to thank and send my gratitude to the awesome local people who helped me out.” Then one by one he listed out specifically how each person helped him during the accident.

The post on Reddit is titled ‘Beautiful people, beautiful city’. He shared how one autorickshaw driver stopped in the middle of the traffic and helped him out. Then the driver took him to the hospital and made sure that the treatment began before leaving, that too free of charge.

Next, he mentioned that a Swiggy delivery agent offered him some water during the chaos and a third, a young man in his 20s, helped him remove the key from the motorcycle, move the bike and safely park it on the side of the road. He thanked them for their selfless service.

Lastly, he expressed his gratitude for an elderly man in his 50s who was with him the entire time and kept on repeating and reassuring that everything is alright and gave him a sense of positivity. He concluded the post, “PS – I don’t speak Kannada at all… (Though this might be a relevant bit of info) Once again, Thank you so much !!!”

Netizens were quick to react to the story. One user wrote, “Damn, read another post where someone was not helped at all by being in a almost similar situation.” Another added, “As someone who learnt driving bike here, I had the most number of falls. I don’t think there was even once that people didn’t help. People here even propose to help even when crossing foot over bridge with heavy luggage (the first time it happened, I thought that person is going to run away with it :))”.

A third Reddit user expressed, “This is so so wholesome! I was in a similar situation where a car coming from the wrong way bumped my scooter leading me to fall down on the road. So many people came to help me get up and pick up my bag. They also shouted at the driver on my behalf because I was so stunned and didn’t know what to do. So grateful for them.”
