The Indian Air Force’s 93rd anniversary celebration took an unexpectedly humorous turn, and the Internet can’t get enough of it. A photo of a dinner menu from the event has gone viral for its cheeky dish names inspired by Pakistani cities that have featured in India’s anti-terror operations.
The cleverly curated menu mixed culinary creativity with political satire. The main course included Rawalpindi Chicken Tikka Masala, Rafiqui Rhara Mutton, Bholari Paneer Methi Malai, Sukkur Sham Savera Kofta, Sargodha Dal Makhani, Jacobabad Mewa Pulao, and Bahawalpur Naan. Even desserts followed suit, featuring Balakot Tiramisu, Muzaffarabad Kulfi Faluda, and Muridke Meetha Pan.
Each of these cities carries historical significance in IAF operations. Many were targets during major missions such as Operation Bandar (2019) and Operation Sindoor (2024), both conducted in response to cross-border terror strikes.
Though not officially confirmed, the now-viral menu is believed to have been part of the Air Force’s annual celebration marking its founding on October 8, 1932.
The post has already racked up over a lakh views, sparking a flood of reactions online. One user joked, “They literally eat complete Pakistan everyday.” Another chimed in, “Kya baat hai, this is like a fork drop moment.” A third added with a laugh, “Next level trolling by IAF. I hope all the ingredients were bought from the nearest KIRANA shop.”
At the 93rd Air Force Day event, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh called Operation Sindoor a “moment of immense pride” for India. Reflecting on the IAF’s journey from its 1932 beginnings to the present, he highlighted the service’s evolution through decades of battles, from 1947 to 2025, marking its legacy of courage, precision, and national pride.
