Like every other year, Apple fans have flocked to brand stores in Delhi and Mumbai, eager to be among the first to get their hands on the latest iPhone 16 series smartphones, officially on sale starting September 20.
A video from Mumbai captured massive crowds rushing toward the Apple store in the city’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), the brand’s first official outlet in the country.
The frenzy is not limited to Mumbai. Delhi’s Select Citywalk in Saket also saw thousands queueing up outside the Apple store there. A video captured the scene, showing customers eagerly waiting for the store to open.
Seeing the viral videos, many social media users expressed their admiration for the brand and its loyal fans. One user wrote, “That’s how an inspirational brand is being built. The craze for iPhone is unbelievable.” Another said, “Wow! The iPhone craze never dies! Apple fans are truly next level dedicated. Curious to see how quickly these will fly off the shelves!”
Apple introduced the 16 series iPhones – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max – at the “It’s Glowtime” event held earlier this month. Pre-order opened up for these on September 13 and are expected to be shipped starting Friday.
In India, the base model of the iPhone 16 starts at Rs 79,900, and the iPhone 16 Plus is available from Rs 89,900. The high-end Pro models (Pro and Pro Max) come with a starting price of Rs 1,19,900 and Rs 1,44,900, respectively.
