Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani got teary-eyed during his son Anant Ambani’s heartfelt speech at the pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, Gujarat on Saturday. In the viral video, Anant can be seen on the stage along with his bride Radhika Merchant.
Anant began by thanking his mother, Nita Ambani, for believing in his dream project, Vantara, and helping him make it a success. Sharing how his mother worked like a weaver for the project, Anand said, “All this is created by my mother and no one else. My mother has gone all out for the last four months, she worked for 18-19 hours a day and I am extremely grateful to mumma.”
Speaking about his health, Anant shared that his life has never been a ‘bed of roses’ due to his health issues since childhood. “I have faced many health crises since childhood but my father and mother have never let me feel it. They have always stood by me and my father and mother have always made me feel that if I can think then I can do it. And that is what I think my father and mother mean to me and I am eternally grateful,” he said.
During his son’s speech, the camera captured Mukesh Ambani in tears.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got engaged on January 19, 2023. The family organised a grand pre-wedding festivities which began on March 1 and will conclude on March 3. From Rihanna to March Zuckerberg to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the event saw a myriad of A-listers from different fraternities. Following the pre-wedding event, the wedding will take place on July 12.
