As India braces for the ICC Champions Trophy final match on Sunday, March 9, social media is dominated by cricket enthusiasts sharing their excitement for the match against New Zealand. One post, in particular, where a manager offers an off day and free pizza to one of his employees, is grabbing eyeballs.
Sharing a screenshot of the chat with her manager, Nickitaa wrote, “Bhaii my manager is the best.” “Okay, chutti to le he lo. Uss din ka Popcorn/pizza meri taraf se (Okay, take an off, and order popcorn/pizza, the bill is on me). Send me bill, max cap 1000),” the manager’s text read.

With over 4,89,000 views, the post triggered a range of reactions. While many hailed the manager’s gesture, others joked about the manager crushing on his employee. “Either he is in love or he has some extra work,” a user wrote. Reacting to it, Nickitaa wrote, “No, he’s just a really nice person.”
“Does the manager provide similar perks to male employees as well?” another user commented. “Clearly the Manager has roving eyes on you. If the same thing is asked to a guy, the reply will be something else and he would be working overtime the next week,” a third user commented.

The India-New Zealand final match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium will mark the end of the ICC Champions Trophy tournament. Both teams have won the tournament before, India in 2002 and 2013, and New Zealand in 2000.
