Whether it’s a shopkeeper delivering the dramatic “yeh bik gayi hai gormint (government)!” or a reporter walking through floodwaters only to get hilariously swept away or locals looting stores in Pakistan, the Internet absolutely loves funny videos from Pakistan. A new video of the neighbouring country, showing a reporter and a cop arguing in their ‘crooked’ English, has dominated the social media scene.
The viral video opens with an alleged police officer accusing a reporter of making threats. The two appear to be arguing over vehicles parked in the middle of a busy road. The reporter questions the officer for not taking action against the illegally parked vehicles, but the visibly agitated cop instead reprimands the journalist for allegedly threatening him. The video concludes with the officer instructing the journalist to report to the SP’s office.
Sharing the video on X, a journalist wrote, “This had me in splits! A Pakistani journalist and a policeman arguing in English.”

With over three lakh views, the video garnered a range of reactions. While a section of social media users found it amusing, others compared it to a conversation between Pakistani cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. A user wrote, “Hear out the Thai ….I wait you here, you no happy, I go Thailand, I come India no again.” Another user commented, “At least it is better than the English spoken by their cricketers.”
“After this I hope I haven’t forgotten my English!!” a third user reacted. “Babar and Rizwan arguing about match strategy,” a fourth user chimed in.
