Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North West is hogging headlines for her recent performance at ‘The Lion King Concert’ at the Hollywood Bowl. The 10-year-old played young Simba at the event organised on the 30th Anniversary of the cult musical drama.
In the viral video, North can be seen donning a yellow costume with an oversized fur cap and singing the iconic song I Just Can’t Wait to Be King. The video also shows several performers playing zebras and trees.
Sharing the video, internet personality Jarett Wieselman wrote, “North West performs I Just Can’t Wait to Be King at the Lion King: 30th Anniversary Concert at The Hollywood Bowl.”

With 18.3 million views, the video amassed numerous reactions. While a section of social media users backed North West’s performance, others trolled her.
Reacting to it, a user wrote, “Yeah this is terrible for a concert show people paid to see. Come on the privilege shows. It looks like she didn’t even practice.” Another user commented, “Many talented kids auditioned and someone with money probably paid or the casting person was a big fan of her parents.”
“y’all forget that this is a child, blame the director, kim and Ye for the nepotism,” the third user wrote. “She’s a child and not responsible for the decision Adults make but there are a ton of kids that can, sing and dance who we’re overlooked again not her fault,” another user reacted.
North West performed with Nathan Lane, Billy Eichner, Jeremy Irons, Ernie Sabella, Broadway actress Heather Headley, Bradley Gibson, Jason Weaver, and Lebo M, Variety reported. She made her singing debut with Ye’s track Talking/Once Again in February, becoming the youngest artist to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
