American singer Madonna recently received flak after she scolded a fan in a wheelchair for sitting during her concert at Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In the video from the concert, Madonna can be heard saying, “What are you doing sitting over there? What are you doing sitting down?”
The viral video shows the 65-year-old singer speaking on her microphone and pointing at the seated fan. Soon after realising that the fan was seated in a wheelchair, she walks towards the edge of the stage and apologises saying, “Oh, OK. Politically incorrect, sorry about that. I’m glad you’re here.”

Social media users were quick enough to react to the viral video. One of them said, “But is it an offense to seat down during a snow though Like what if I feel tired ??” Another user commented, “Her fan base is old. they had a long day before this. and you know she started late. wth.”
“Ok you shouldn’t be calling people out for sitting down anyways. She’s not the queen of England. Some people are tired or have conditions where they need to sit. You want them to leave altogether?” the third user commented.
According to The Guardian, this is not the first time Madonna has been in a soup during this concert tour. The singer caused controversy by starting a New York concert at 10.30 pm, which resulted in a lawsuit from a few fans. Her management team defended the suit citing technical problems during a sound check.
Madonna postponed her tour last year due to a serious bacterial infection, which landed her in hospital.
