A luxury yacht, reportedly worth $4 million capsized near Miami Beach, Florida, Saturday evening. All 32 people on board the yacht, including social media influencers, were rescued.
The 63-foot yacht, dubbed a ‘Lamborghini vessel’, allegedly had a capacity of only seven people. It began to sink near Monument Island around 5 pm local time on May 3, according to the Coast Guard’s southeastern division, PEOPLE reported.
A Coast Guard crew and units from several local agencies, including the Miami Beach Police Marine Patrol, responded to the distress call. All 32 people on board were safely brought to shore without any reported injuries. The passengers were later transported to the Miami Beach Marina, as reported by the local outlet WSVN.
Several passengers on board documented the incident, posting video clips to social media as the incident unfolded. In one viral video, passengers are seen waiting anxiously for rescue. As the footage continues, the vessel is shown partially submerged while authorities actively assist in evacuating those still on board.

Eyewitness Rachael Miller, who was on another boat nearby, described the harrowing incident to CBS News Miami. “We were just on the boat and we saw a bunch of cops, police boats, and there was another yacht that was flipped over completely vertically in the water,” she said. “It was straight up in the water. It definitely didn’t look ordinary, and it’s just very concerning,” she added.
The exact cause of the incident remains unknown, and authorities have yet to confirm the owner of the vessel. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has launched an investigation into the cause of the sinking, according to WSVN.
The Coast Guard confirmed that commercial salvage teams are now working to recover the capsized yacht and noted that it currently poses no threat to nearby marine traffic, the report said.
