An unusual sight on the streets of London has left the Internet both amused and embarrassed. A video posted by Instagram user @pandeyjipardesi shows an Indian man zooming in on red gutka spit marks splattered on the road beside a parked car.

In the clip, he can be heard saying in Hindi, “Yeh dekhiye, kya hai yeh? Yeh London hai ya… Poora visa system band karo” (“Look at this, what is this? Is this London or… just cancel the whole visa system”). His tone carried a mix of sarcasm and frustration, questioning how such unhygienic habits had found their way into a city known for its cleanliness and order.

The video even carried a cheeky on-screen caption: “London ya Kanpur” (“London or Kanpur”), a nod to Kanpur’s long-standing association with paan and gutka stains in public spaces.

The clip quickly went viral, with the comments section overflowing with jokes. One person wrote, “Kisi Indian ne hi thunka hoga” (“It must have been an Indian who spat here”). Another wrote, “Pandey ji aap bhul gaye aap Londonpur me hai” (“Pandey ji, you forgot—you’re in Londonpur now”). A third said, “Pandey ji Kanpur ka dab daba waha phail gaya h” (“Pandey ji, Kanpur’s influence has spread there too”). One user commented, “Appne visa mil gaya hai bhaiya toh auron ka aana kyu band kara rahe ho” (“Brother, you got your visa, so why stop others from coming?”).

This isn’t the first time London has witnessed such scenes. Earlier, another clip sparked outrage after showing paan spit smeared across a roadside dustbin, trees, and pathways in Harrow. According to local reports shared by Harrow Online, these stains are increasingly common in areas like Rayners Lane and North Harrow, particularly outside shops and takeaways that sell chewing tobacco products.
