Amid the ongoing buzz around India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025, a video of a major blunder before the match began at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday stunned cricket enthusiasts and players. As the Pakistan team lined up for their national anthem, a DJ error caused an awkward moment.
With players standing, hands on their hearts in anticipation of “Pak Sarzamin Shad Bad,” the stadium speakers instead played the opening seconds of ‘Jalebi Baby, ’ the popular track by Tesher and Jason Derulo. The song played for approximately six seconds before the mistake was noticed.
The viral video shows Pakistan’s skipper, Salman Ali Agha, and his teammates irritated by the mix-up.

The video was instantly picked up and shared across platforms, prompting a wave of reactions. “Off to a bad start,” a user wrote. “That was hilarious,” another user commented.
This isn’t the first time such a national anthem mishap has occurred involving Pakistan. During the Champions Trophy, a similar incident occurred when the Indian national anthem was mistakenly played at a match in Lahore.
Meanwhile, Pakistan, led by Salman Ali Agha, faced embarrassment even before the first ball was bowled in their Group A Asia Cup clash against India. Tensions flared at the toss, where captains Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha pointedly avoided eye contact and refused to shake hands. Abhishek Sharma later took the attack to Shaheen Shah Afridi in the very first over, setting the tone for India’s chase. Yadav and Shivam Dube stayed unbeaten as India reached the target with 25 balls to spare.
