Travelling with pets is not always easy – but with the right training, it can become truly enjoyable. A recent viral video proved just that, featuring four impeccably behaved cats – Louie, Todd, Apollo, and Elvis – as they flew to Paris with their owners.
The clip, which racked up over 52 million views on Instagram, opens with a man calmly walking through airport security with two cats draped over his shoulders. Right behind him, his partner follows, gently carrying the other two. The cats quietly wait near the X-ray machine as the TSA staff scan their hands and usher them forward. A caption on the video notes, “TSA ran their empty carriers 2X times through the scanner, so they waited 15 minutes for them.”
Once the carriers finally arrive, the cats waste no time – Todd hops in first. Later, they are seen dressed in tiny matching sweaters and berets, waiting patiently at the gate before boarding.
Once on the plane, the feline quartet curled up and snoozed for nearly eight hours. After landing smoothly in Paris, they were ready to take on the City of Love. Their humans shared a sweet note: “All four of them were such good boys on our flight to Paris, and we can’t wait to share all their adventures in Europe with you guys.” While Apollo and Elvis would stay in Paris until May 6, Louie and Todd were set to continue their journey to Barcelona, Madrid, and Amsterdam.
The video sparked a flurry of comments online. A user wrote, “I think I just watched this about 10 times… can never get enough!!” Another user added, “Every passenger on every flight anywhere should behave or be forced to be behaved like louis and todd. Perfect, gentleman quiet, not argumentative. And probably yeah, it possibly smells better than some people too…”
A third user quipped, “They behave 1 million times better than some kids, mine included.”
However, not everyone was thrilled. Some raised concerns about allergies, with one comment reading, “This should not be allowed. There are people with severe cat allergies.”
Another added, “Should be in the hold, not fair on passengers with allergies..”
