Life in the wild is unpredictable. Tourists embark on thrilling safari adventures in different parts of the world, and those favoured by luck encounter majestic creatures going about their day in the jungles.
In a recent incident in South Africa’s Manyoni Private Game Reserve, a group of tourists had an experience they won’t forget for a while. The tourists, enjoying the safari in their vehicle, came across a giant hippopotamus, but not in a great mood.
The animal was furious to see the tourists, and chased their vehicle. At one point, the giant being caught up with the vehicle, opened its mouth and almost bit the tracker seat.
The video was shared on YouTube by a channel named Latest Sightings, and has gone viral with over 40,000 views and many comments.

The description of the YouTube video said, “It seemed that even the hippo was surprised by the ranger’s driving skills, and it stopped dead in its tracks. The hippo then watched as the vehicle slowly continued reversing, as if the grumpy bull was too stunned to continue charging.”
Reacting to the video, a YouTube user commented, “This is why people should always give wild animals, like hippos, their space.” Another user wrote, “Reminds me of that Jurassic Park arcade game when you get chased by the T-Rex.”
Another user commented, “It’s terrifying how hippos very randomly charge at you even if they appear that they are calm and not interested in you.”
“Hungry hungry hippo,” said another user.
