Celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar opened his first restaurant named Kashkan in Dubai last year. Among the several other tempting dishes on the menu, Brar’s 24-carat gold ‘tadke wali’ dal has created a stir among food aficionados on social media. Known as ‘Dal Kashkan’, the dish is priced at 58 dirhams (about Rs 1,300).
The viral video was shared by food vlogger Mehul Hingu on Instagram. The video opens with the host showing the gold dust in the bowl. He then adds it to the dal — kept in a wooden box — prepared with exotic spices and ghee. Sharing the video, Hingu wrote, “24 Carat Golden Tadke Wali Dal at Kashkan by Ranveer Brar, Dubai Festive City Mall.”
