Top 10 Richest Person in Hurun India Rich List 2025: Mukesh Ambani and his family have regained the title of India’s richest, with a remarkable net worth of Rs 9.55 lakh crore. This information comes from the 14th edition of the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025, published by M3M India in collaboration with the Hurun Research Institute. Close on their heels are Gautam Adani and family, whose wealth stands at a staggering Rs 8.14 lakh crore. This makes it clear that the top spot in India’s wealth rankings is now a two-way contest between these industrial giants.
Last year, in the 2024 report, Gautam Adani had overtaken Mukesh Ambani to become India’s richest individual, with his wealth estimated at Rs 11 lakh crore, compared to Ambani’s Rs 10 lakh crore. Both of them have seen a decline in their wealth this year, but Ambani has managed to reclaim the leading position.
Roshni Nadar Malhotra and family have entered the top three for the first time, with a net worth of Rs 2.84 lakh crore, making her the wealthiest woman in India.
The 2025 list also highlights how India’s billionaire population is growing rapidly. The total number of billionaires in the country has now crossed 350, six times more than when the list was first released 13 years ago. Together, the wealth of all these billionaires adds up to Rs 167 lakh crore, which is almost half of India’s total GDP.
Young entrepreneurs are also making a strong impact. Aravind Srinivas, 31, the founder of Perplexity, has become India’s youngest billionaire with a fortune of Rs 21,190 crore. The youngest individual on the list is Kaivalya Vohra, aged 22, co-founder of Zepto, while his business partner Aadit Palicha, 23, is the second youngest billionaire.
When it comes to wealth growth, Niraj Bajaj and his family recorded the largest absolute increase this year, adding Rs 69,875 crore to reach a total of Rs 2.33 lakh crore. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the founder of Paytm, has returned to the billionaire club with a wealth of Rs 15,930 crore, thanks to a 124 per cent rise in his company’s stock price.
Mumbai continues to be the top city for billionaires in India, with 451 individuals listed. It is followed by New Delhi with 223 billionaires and Bengaluru with 116. Sector-wise, the pharmaceutical industry leads, with 137 billionaires, followed by industrial products (132) and chemicals & petrochemicals (125).
The list also shows that women entrepreneurs are gaining more prominence. A total of 101 women are featured in the 2025 list, including 26 whose wealth exceeds a billion dollars. Overall, self-made billionaires continue to dominate wealth creation in India, making up 66 per cent of the list. Additionally, 74 per cent of the new entrants have built their fortunes entirely on their own efforts.

According to the Hurun Rich List 2025, Shah Rukh Khan’s fortune has skyrocketed, and he now ranks among the wealthiest celebrities in the world.
Not only has he joined the elite billionaire circle, but he has also secured the top position among Bollywood stars on the M3M Hurun India Rich List. His total wealth is estimated at a staggering Rs 12,490 crore, which is approximately $1.4 billion. This remarkable financial success puts him ahead of many globally recognized stars in terms of net worth.
In fact, Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth now surpasses that of several international icons. He is richer than Taylor Swift, who has a net worth of around $1.3 billion, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose wealth stands at about $1.2 billion. Legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld, with $1.2 billion, and popular singer-actress Selena Gomez, who has $720 million, also trail behind the Bollywood superstar.
