Top 10 richest cities in the world 2025: As of June 2025, the global population of ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals—those with a net worth exceeding $30 million—reached 510,810, a 5.4 per cent increase from the start of the year, according to the Altrata World Ultra Wealth Report 2025.

The collective wealth of this group grew by 6.7 per cent, totaling $59.8 trillion—over twice the annual GDP of the United States.

Globally, there are approximately 41.3 million high-net-worth (HNW) individuals with assets exceeding $1 million.

The top 10 cities represent about one-fifth of the global UHNW population, with US cities dominating.

New York City leads with 21,380 UHNW individuals, followed by Hong Kong, which saw exceptional growth, while Tokyo experienced a decline.

Where does India rank on the list?

India ranks tenth in country-based rankings and is home to a total of 11,865 UHNW individuals.

While it does not rank in the top 10 cities list, India is particularly remarkable, featuring four of the top ten cities experiencing the highest growth in UHNW individuals–Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

Bengaluru is expected to have the highest UHNW population among Indian cities, growing from 590 in H1 2025 to 1,076 by 2030, at a 12.8 per cent CAGR.

Delhi is projected to rise from 1,047 to 1,806 UHNW residents (11.5 per cent CAGR), Mumbai from 769 to 1,288 (10.9 per cent CAGR), and Hyderabad from 449 to 817 (12.7 per cent CAGR).
