When you head to the zoo with your family on a day out, you will see excited people around you. After all, who wouldn’t be awed and wide-eyed looking at the magnificent and exotic wild at such close proximity? Not surprisingly, many of us would even want to click their pictures. But what happens at times, is that some people get too close for comfort with these animals, and in some cases, even end up “body slamming” them! No kidding! You definitely don’t want to be one of those guys.

This is exactly what happened when a Danish backpacker went to Lake Kununurra in Australia’s tropical north. According to The Guardian, Johnny Bonde spotted a freshwater crocodile and decided to take its photographs, perched on the bank.

But what happened next was something he was really not prepared for, and nor must have been the reptile. “Next thing I know I’m sliding down the bank and then I just toppled over and landed straight on top of the croc,” Bonde had said. “He got a pretty good grip on me and shook me around a bit. Reportedly, the crocodile bit the man’s right arm after he fell on him. Bonde realised his mistake and called it the result of him “being stupid”. “I pretty much body-slammed him. If somebody body-slammed me at night, I would be angry too,” he told Perth’s Sunday Times.

According to The West Australian, Bonde had deep cuts on his right arm after the incident and was treated at a Kununurra district hospital.

We don’t know if he got the photographs of the crocodile. But if he does, he is probably going to get the chills every time he sees them!
