Facebook, Instagram face outages in US as thousands of users report app, website glitch

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta owned Facebook and Instagram are reported to be down for thousands of users across the United States on Monday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
According to latest data, there were more than 12,000 people reporting issues with Facebook and over 5,000 users reported glitch with Instagram as of 1:40 p.m. ET.

As per the Downdetector’s data, around 63% people were facing issues with login in Facebook, 27% users reported issues with the website of Facebook, 10% are said to have server issues.
On the Instagram, Downdetector reported that 75% of users had issues with the app of the photo-video sharing platform, while 14% had problems with Instagram’s website, and 10% faced issues with login.
