Apple has unveiled AirPods 4, its new pair of true wireless earbuds. The new earbuds are available in two variants – one with active noise cancellation and one without and come with support for Spatial Audio. The company says its latest earbuds let you interact with Siri announcements by simply nodding your head up or down and support voice isolation, which can help remove the majority of background noises.
The Cupertino-based tech giant said the new AirPods have a battery life of up to 30 hours and that the new case is smaller than its predecessors. It also supports Apple’s ‘Find My’ functionality in case you happen to lose it somewhere. The ANC version of AirPods 4 comes with a dedicated noise cancellation mode in addition to a transparency mode that lets you hear your surroundings.
Powered by the H2 chip, AirPods 4 also feature a new force sensor on the stem that lets you quickly play or pause media and mute or end calls with a press. The new chip also reduces the audio latency to 48Hz and supports 16-bit audio.
Apple also introduced a new mode called “Adaptive Audio”, which, as the name suggests, adjusts the volume level of your earbuds depending on the surrounding volume level and a new feature called “Conversation Awareness” that automatically reduces the music volume when you are talking to someone.
Customers can now pre-order the AirPods 4 for Rs 12,900 and the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation for Rs 17,900 from the Apple India website. The tech giant also refreshed the AirPods Max with new colour options and USB-C charging. They are available for pre-order and can be purchased for Rs 59,900. Apple AirPods 4 and AirPods Max will be available for purchase September 20 onwards.
