India vs Bangladesh Highlights 2nd T20: IND beat BAN by 86 runs to win series 2-0 in New Delhi

That's it folks Bangladesh has lost by 86 runs and it is their biggest defeat against India. Apart from the morning of Day 1 in Chennai Bangladesh has offered no competition against India thus far. Today once again they looked decent however, Nitish and Rinku's onslaught in the first innings took the game. The second inning was just a procession. That's it from our end here, guys! we will join you for the third T20I on Saturday.

Does Bangladesh have the potential to play well on flat wickets? This is something that needs to be asked. Tough seamers did bowl well it is the spinners who spilled the game for Bangladesh in the first innings. And now their batting unit dosent' seem like they do not have in them to go over a certain tempo.

There is nothing Nitish can do wrong today. He picked a wicket now with the ball. Although it is of a lower order batter but it does add to his confidence in going forward. It is all but over for Bangladesh here in New Delhi

It has been a mixed day for Mayank. Bangladesh batters seem to have been more in terms with the pace of the quickmen however, it also seemed like the surface which is on the slower side has helped their cause as well. 

Chakrvarthy is done for the day and another good day in the office for the mystery spinner. He picked up two crucial wickets and managed to keep rate under control as well. Given the game has panned out might not reflect the good work he has done but he came into bowl in the powerplay did an exceptional job. 

India might look to make a few changes for the final game of the series. It was another dominant performance by the defending T20 World Cup champions. Though the stalwarts have retired the transition seems flawless. 

Varun Chakravarthy comes back into the attack and picks a wicket however, he must thank Hardik for an extraordinary catch at mid-wicket. The all-rounder ran 27-meters to pull off a stunner. Bangladesh have now lost seven wickets. 

Another poor outing from Bangladesh. They did not even compete in the game overall. Litton Das and Shanto with a few shots early promised a good attempt however, as the game went on India tightened its grip and Bangladesh kept losing theirs.

Now it might seem difficult for Bangladesh to net get bowled out before 20 overs. The lower-order batters are now being exposed to Mayank. Jaker was hurried on by a good-length delivery and hit it straight to the square-leg fielder. 

Suryakumar Yadav brings in Riyan Parag although he did bowl a strange no-ball bowling way wide of the horizontal crease, however he did manage to pick the wicket of Mehidy on the last ball with Bangladesh now losing five wickets. 

Mayank has bowled his first over and it was a mixed start he did slip in a no-ball early in the over but did manage to recover well without much damage getting done. Bangladesh batters have struggled against high pace in the past and it will be a challenge for them today as well.

Abhishek comes in and gets through another over. It is hard to estimate why Surya has deployed Abhishek here apart from two right-handers but it has worked. He bowled tightly and made sure the run rate had gone up. As we update Mayank is brought into the attack.

It is highly improbable Bangladesh will get to the total from here on. However, what they can do here is build a partnership and give India a scare and they too can take a bit of confidence into the next game. However, it won't be easy India is bowling very nicely.

Suryakumar Yadav looking at two right-handers calls in Abhishek Sharma and gets the wicket of Towid Hridoy. Every change Suryakumar has made here has turned into gold so far. Bangladesh have now dug themselves into a deep hole. 

Chakravarthy who had a good first game has started well here. He picked up the wicket of Litton Das who was looking good. This is already looking down hill for Bangladesh. They need to build a partnership here. 

Sundar comes in and creates the breakthrough. It is Najmul Hossain Shanto who tried to take on the off-spinner and was caught at long-on clever captaincy from Suryakumar Yadav to introduce the spinner in the first six overs of the innings. 

Well well, Bangladesh has made its intentions clear here as well. As soon as the Indian seamers are missing their marks they are hitting the ball into the stands. Especially Litton who has a very record against India. Though India has a lot of runs to play with they need to be wary of the boundary size of the ground. 

Arshdeep Singh picks the wicket. It is Emon who tried to pull the ball on the leg-side and got the inside edge onto the stumps. This is where India has started well compared to Bangladesh who took a few overs to get the right lengths for the surface. 

Nitish Kumar has taken the ball from the other end and he started hitting hard lengths every ball which is what has worked for Taskin in the first innings. And seems like there is no dew and the ball remained to stick on the surface when the right lengths are hit. 

Arshdeep Singh has started the proceedings for India and he did get some swing on offer however, it was not enough to stop Emon from talking on the bowling. He slammed three boundaries of the over to get 14 from it. Good start for Bangladesh.

India has posted a massive total here. It is 15-20 too many. Bangladesh did start their bowling well however, they lost the track in middle overs when spinners were bowling and Nitish bashed the ball all around the ground alongside Rinku we will be right back with the second innings. 

Riyan Parag got the top edge the ball flew in the air and the long-on fielder took a simple catch. However, India has already got 15-20 too many for this surface. After winning the toss and opting to bowl first Shanto would be disappointed. 

This has been good from Bangladesh the last couple of overs have not gone for many. They have bowled slower ones into the surface and the slowness of the pitch has done the rest. However, India have already got themselves into a big score. After 18.3 overs IND 201/5

Exceptional bowling from Taskin he bowled another slower one into the surface which the Rinku hit it straight to mid-wicket fielder on the boundary. On a night when the scoring has been over 11s Taskin has gone under 6's. After 17.3 overs IND 193/5

Rinku Singh gets to his 50 with an unusual shot. He gets the top edge and the ball flies over into the stands for a six. He has got to his half-century in double quick time and now India is looking to put on around 220-mark.  After 16.1 overs IND 182/4

Rishad has been brought into the attack by Shanto after the partnership has been broken which is a nice move from the Bangladesh skipper and given the way last few overs have gone by it has been a good over from the leg-spinner. After 15.1 overs IND 167/4

It is the slower ball that does the trick. Nitish Reddy tried hoik one and got the outside edge and was caught in the ring. Nevertheless exceptional innings from Nitish and the stage is perfectly set for India to put on a massive total. After 14.4 overs IND 163/4

Another big over for Nitish. He picked up the right matchup and went after Mehidy. He used his long handle to perfection and scored runs all around the ground. This has been top top inning from the youngster. After 13.2 overs IND 149/3

A splendid knock from Nitish Kumar Reddy. Came in when the side was in trouble, however, kept his calm and composure initially but later took on the bowling as his innings went along. He is looking good for a ton here is Nitish. After 12.1 overs IND 123/3

The runs have started to flow now. The momentum has completely shifted in the game and the pitch seems like it has got better for batting and the ball is coming nicely onto the bat. Bangladesh needs to be very careful here as the game is drifting away and India is looking now good for 200. After 11.3 overs IND 116/3

There is the over which India needed. Rishad tossed a few ones up nicely and first it was Nitish who used the long handle and then it was Rinku of the final delivery who finished it off extracting 24 runs from the over. The partnership has now gone past 50 runs. After 10 overs IND 101/3

Mahmudullah has been brought into the attack and it was an over which has seen it all. A free hit and an LBW review that went batter's way. All in all a positive over for India. Bangladesh has to be careful here India still have batting left to come which can turn this game around its head. After 9.2 overs IND 82/3

India might look to target the spinners on this ground. As pacers might have the cushion of pace variations however, spinners need to get spot on their lengths on this wicket. As given the dimensions of the grounds even a mistimed delivery can be deposited into the stands. After 8.3 overs IND 66/3

Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh have an exceptional opportunity to build a partnership here. However, they need to reassess what a good score on this surface is. In IPL the surface did deliver hig-scoring grounds but this wickets seems to be a bit two paced. After 7.2 overs IND 53/3

Surya is the latest batter who got undone by the slowness of the surface. Once again he checked his shot and seemed like pulled off from the drive at the last moment and chipped the ball straight to mid-wicket. Mustafizur has picked up a wicket. Bangladesh have started well here. After 6.1 overs IND 46/3

Tanzim is bowling some exceptional deliveries here. He is keeping the batters on their toes with his quick ones. Nitish Reddy did get a glove on a delivery trying to pull down the leg side which the keeper dropped. And Tanzim followed up with an exception, he is looking in good rhythm. After 5.1 overs IND 37/2

Suryakumar Yadav has walked into the middle and is looking to take the bowler on from the first delivery as he usually does. However, the pitch seems to be a touch on the slower side and India has to be a little careful on what they feel is the right score on this pitch. After 4 overs IND 29/2

Well, India lost another one it is Abhishek who has departed this time. He was looking in exceptional touch did the batter, however, tried to pull the ball and got the under edge onto the stumps. The wicket seems to have started a bit slowly here in Delhi at the moment.  After 3 overs IND 25/2

Taskin Ahmed comes into the attack and scalps Sanju Samson. He did apply the pressure throughout the over before Samson lost his patience and hit it straight to the mid-wicket fielder—another failure for Samson in the series another wasted opportunity. After 2.2 overs IND 17/1

Mehidy has taken the new ball for Bangladesh however, there was no turn-on over and both Sanju Samson and Abhishek were in no mood to see out the over either. They just sat back on the book foot and punched the ball through the gaps. Ominous signs for Bangladesh already. After 1.1 overs IND 15/0

Expect a high-scoring affair today. We are unsure about the dew however, Bangladesh needs to restrict India to a competitive total if they need to have any chance of winning of this game. The crowd is buzzing expect another cracker of a game at least from Indian batting perspective. 

The second T20 international promises to be a run-fest. On this pitch, a lot of runs have been scored historically in the past. Not a big ground by any stretch of imagination. 55m and 63m square, 72m straight down the ground. This has been a fabulous pitch in the IPL. It's been 200+ consistently. It seems really hard, it's going to be a nightmare for the bowlers to bowl on this surface. It looks like one of those surfaces where even 200 might not be enough. Recently, a local T20 tournament, 300 runs were scored on this same surface. Teams that have batted first have won the games - five out five in the IPL. I'll bat first, but with the dew around, you never know."

I just try to be on top of my game, no matter if I'm playing a match or not. Every practice session, I need to be at the top of my game, I need to feel that I am hitting my best rhythm. If I am not hitting my best rhythm, I'll try and see where I am lacking and try and really work on it. When I walk back home, I'll have to be at the top of my rhythm. This is something that I have been telling myself constantly. Eventually when the game happens, I am ready no matter when. With my bowling in particular, run-up and synchronization of both my arms are very important. That's something I constantly focus on. Some of the other things that probably come naturally to me and I don't really focus too much on that. But these two things keep changing especially with the fact that I play different formats every now and then. With regards to that, I really need to be on top of my game, especially with what format I am playing at that time. I am just grateful for all the opportunities that I am getting, no matter where I am thrown at, it could be powerplay, it could be middle overs, it could be death overs at times, really looking forward to put up best performances for the team.

I'll like to bowl first. Looks a good wicket, I think dew might come in the second innings. If you look at all the international matches and IPL, looks a pretty good wicket, big score in all the matches. It (winning their last 2 matches in Delhi) gives us a lot of confidence, but today is a new day, we have to play to our strength and give our best. Top of the order, as a batting group, we need to focus on the first first six overs. Shoriful isn't playing, Tanzim Sakib plays.

We were looking to bat first as well. We did bowl in the first game. I spoke to a few groundsmen and they said there was a little bit of dew. We wanted to challenge our bowlers to bowl with the wet ball and see what we can do. The amount of talent in the dressing room, it's very difficult to express that. I am just happy sitting back, relaxing now, watching them play and my job has becme very easy. You have to be one step ahead when you're playing this format. Looks very good. We are unchanged.

“One of the main reasons for that is our coaching system. With the Indian team now, as it has been for a little while, we have three dedicated throwdown specialists and generally, we get four nets. Two nets are used for full-fledged bowling; in the other two nets, there is always someone who wants extra batting. Most of the batters finish their 20–25 minutes of batting, after which there are between three and five men waiting with weapons in their hands – I am referring, of course, to the sidearm or the slinger. Across formats, all our batters only bat, they don’t bowl at all,”

The atmosphere in India's bowling nets was lively and competitive. Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh were joking around and comparing their international wicket-taking records. Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma were also practicing their bowling. The head coach, Gautam Gambhir, was closely observing the players' performance.

Punjab Kings didn't have a match here in the IPL this season but seeing the scores at this ground I didn't feel like seeing the wicket. We will come tomorrow and assess the conditions and make plans accordingly
