Asia Lions vs India Maharajas Highlights: Asia Lions register a massive 85-run victory over the Gambhir-led IMR to seal spot in the final

The Asia Lions have won the eliminator by 85 runs. They will face World Giants captained by Shane Watson in the final.

Abdur Razzaq strikes twice in the 16th over, cleans up Dinda and Manvinder Bisla.The Lions have been brilliant with the ball today.

Sohail Tanvir is on a roll! Picks up the seventh wicket for the Lions as he bowls out Stuart Binny for a duck. He is on a hat-trick now.

Sohail Tanvir is back into the attack and does the trick for Lions, bowls out Suresh Raina and adds to the misery for the Maharajas. Raina, who was looking to go big, heaved across the line, missed the ball and it hit the stumps.

Maharajas need 92 runs in 33 balls

New batter Manvinder Bisla comes in to bat alongside Raina. The Maharajas finally get a much-needed boundary, Bisla comes down the wicket and slices the Perera ball between gully and short third man for four. They need to keep the boundaries coming to release the pressure.

Maharajas need 93 runs in 36 balls

Another one bites the dust as new bowler Dilshan dismisses Irfan Pathan. The India Maharajas are now crumbling like a deck of cards.

The other Pathan brother is out there in the middle. Perera gets the ball for his first over of the game. The runs have dried up for the Maharajas, no boundaries have been scored in the last three overs. They really need to up their game to seal that final spot.

Hafeez gets the ball for the eleventh over and finishes his spell with Yusuf Pathan's wicket. Yusuf went for the big slog sweep, got the top edge, the ball went high up in the air and landed well in Perera's hands at long-on. The Maharajas look in grave danger now.

Afridi comes back into the attack for the tenth over of the game and bowls another brilliant over for his side. The India Maharajas have a lot to do from here.

Yusuf Pathan joins Suresh Raina in the middle. The Indian Maharajas get a much needed boundary, Pathan cuts the ball and edges it down to third man fence for four. 

IMR: 73-3 (9)

Skipper Shahid Afridi takes the ball for the eight over and gets another breakthrough, takes the all-important wicket of Mohammad Kaif. Kaif drives down the ground and the ball went straight in the hands of Perera at long-off who took it with ease. The Maharajas are in major trouble now.

Suresh Raina walks in to bat at number 4 and Hafeez is back into the attack. The Maharajas are feeling the pressure now. They need build another partnership to keep up with the required run rate.

Mohammad Kaif comes in to bat at 3 and Isuru Udana, left-arm fast medium, joins the attack, Kaif welcomes him with a boundary. NO NO NO!!! Robin Uthappa is run-out. There was some miscommunication in the middle and Udana was too quick to miss the opportunity. The Indian Maharajas have lost both their openers now.

Oh no! Mohammad Hafeez does the trick for the Lions and cleans up Gautam Gambhir. The batter walks back as he is out caught by Misbah at extra cover. This is a massive wicket for the Lions.

As good as it gets. Gautam Gambhir continues his red-hot form and gets full support from Uthappa. The Indian batters are now wreaking havoc on the Asian bowlers.

Sohail tanvir is back into the attack and Gautam Gambhir is only dealing in boundaries. Scores two back to back fours to wrap the over with. First, finds the gap to deep midwicket fence for four and then smashes the last ball of the over to fine leg for a four.

Abdur Razzaq gets the ball for the second over and gets sent off for two boundaries by the skipper. First, to deep mid-wicket and then to deep extra cover. Gambhir is enjoying a buffet of boundaries here.

The first boundary of the innings comes from the skippers' bat as he sends the ball to sweeper cover. Four more runs to IMR's account as Gambhir punches the ball away in the gap with superb timing, ball races away to deep cover fence.

Tanvir starts with the attack for the Lions. Skipper Gautam Gambhir walks in alongside Robin Uthappa to bat for the Maharajas.

The Asian Lions are only dealing in sixes now. This time, Perera does the job, clears his front leg and heaves away into the stands over midwicket fence for a big six. Uh-oh! Binny cleans up Perera on the next ball. He is out caught by Kaif at long-on. New batter Abdul Razzaq comes in to bat and has to depart after playing two deliveries, this time it's Pathan who takes the catch. And with that, the Lions' innings comes to an end.The Asian Lions have posted 191 runs on the board for the Indian Maharajas to chase.

Dinda gets the ball for the second last over. The over was going good until Asghar hit him for a MASSIVE MASSIVE SIX to deep mid-wicket. The bowler makes a quick comeback and ends the over with a dot ball.

Binny gets the ball and Perere goes big again, serves him with a maximum over long-on fence. That is some superb power hitting! Woah! Asghar does it from the other end too, pulls the ball away up and sends it over short fine leg fielder for a four.

Irfan Pathan is back into the attack for his fourth over. Looks like Asghar Afghan is out caught by Raina. The decision is sent upstairs and it seems the ball hits the ground first. It's NOT OUT. The play resumes and Perera takes the charge and hits Pathan for huge six on the long-on.

India Maharajas get a massive wicket as Mohommad Hafeez is out caught by Kaif at long-off on a Praveen Tambe delivery. He walks back into the hut after scoring 38 off 24 balls.

Praveen Tambe joins the attack for the fourteenth over. Despite losing their openers, the Asian Lions have kept their run rate intact. Tambe, however has bowled a brilliant over without conceding any boundaries.

Another breakthrough for the Indian Maharajas as new bowler Pragyan Ojha dismisses the set batter Tilakratne Dilshan. Raina takes an easy catch at deep extra cover. Asghar Afghan doesn't get affected tho, keeps the momentum going and smashes the ball for a massive six to long-off.

Mohommad Hafeez walks in to bat at number 3, Harbhajan Singh has the ball for the tenth over and it's raining boundaries in Doha. Haffez cuts the length delivery away and beats Ojha at short third man for a four to finsh the over with.

Upul Tharanga brings up his fifty off just 30 deliveries and loses his wicket on the very next ball as Mohommad Kaif takes a brilliant one-handed catch at extra cover. Maharajas get a much needed a breakthrough.

Gambhir introduces spinner Harbhajan Singh into the attack in the eighth over of the game and he is making the ball turn well on the pitch. Uthappa appeals for caught behind but the umpire turns it down. Dilshan ends the over with a four to backward square leg.

AL: 79-0 (8)

Dinda comes in to bowl his third over. The batters are now comfortably set in the middle. They are stealing boundaries, rotating strike and keeping the runs coming for the Lions. And just like that, Tharanga does it again, steals four more runs as he flicks the ball to deep square leg. The Maharajas are in desperate need of a breakthrough. Time for a strategic break.

Stuart Binny has been brought into the attack for the last over of the powerplay. Bowls two dot balls and is sent for a boundary on the third one to fine leg, this time it's Dilshan who opens the bat. Tharanga comes back at the crease for the last ball of the over and ends the powerplay with a four.

Ashok Dinda is back for the fifth over. Starts it with a dot ball. Dilshan takes a single on the next ball to bring back Tharanga on strike, he tries to steal a boundary but times it badly, yet again. Dinda ends the over with a dot ball.

Yusuf Pathan joins the attack for the fourth over and is sent off for a boundary to sweeper cover off the very first delivery. Oh wow! Four more runs for the batter, this time slams the ball to deep extra cover. Tharanga is on fire now! Slams two more boundaries to end the over with. Yusuf Pathan doesn't look happy at all.

Irfan Pathan is back into the attack for the third over. Tharanga tries to go big on the third ball but times it badly, the ball falls in no man's land. Slams the next ball for a maximum to long-on and the fifth delivery to long-off for a boundary and makes it up for the third ball.

Ashok Dinda gets the new ball for the second over of the game and Upul Tharanga opens his account with a single. Dinda ends the over with a dot. This was another good over by the Maharajas.

Poor delivery by Pathan and Robain fails to gather it down the legside and it goes for five wides. Pathan, however makes a good comeback and bowls 4 dot balls.

Upul Tharanga and Tillakaratne Dilshan walk in the middle to bat for the Asian Lions. Irfan Pathan opens with the attack for India Maharajas. 

One change each in both the teams, Asghar comes in place of Amir in Lions and Ojha replaces Praveen in Maharajas.

This is a do or die match for both the teams. The Maharajas, who are now last in the standings, still have a chance to go to the semifinals if they defeat the Asian Lions in tonight's match.
